Business Applications Specialist – SD/TP

Requirements

Our client located in Jacksonville, FL has an immediate contract to hire opportunity for a Business Applications Specialist – SD/TP.

The Business Application Specialist will work in a team environment to recommend and deliver technology to enable business processes within the supply chain scope. Provides analysis, design, programming and implementation for supply chain business applications per user/business requirements using SAP and other Application tools. Key customers are members of the client’s supply chain organization who use information technology to provide a high level of service to their customers.

The Business Application Specialist will work in a team environment to support a newly implemented SAP ECC 6.0 global solution. In addition this position will work in a team environment to recommend and deliver technology to enable business processes within the finance process area – Record to Report and associated processes such as Source to Pay and Order to Cash. Provides analysis, design, programming and implementation for financial business applications per user/business requirements using SAP and other Application tools.

Key Customers are the global members of the client’s financial organization who use information technology to ensure accurate financial transactions and records and help measure and report elements of the financial scorecard for management and statutory business purposes.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide support and assistance for recently deployed SAP ECC 6.0 environment for all locations. Focus areas include; S/D and T/P; starting at the time of order placement, delivery scheduling, shipping and thru invoicing, including rebates and commissions.
• Participation in the overall process improvement of the Order to Cash process area. Analyze complex user information flows and needs. Create functional specs and perform configuration, acceptance testing, problem resolution, and provide training to the user community.
• Evaluate alternative procedural and systematic solutions that meet needs while maintaining business standards. Works with business process owners and/or end-users to identify business requirements for automation that improves productivity, reduces costs, better serves customers, and/or increases revenues
• Assess data quality; develop and execute improvement plans and KPIs to measure quality; develop and implement processes to create and maintain master data; implement data stewardship and governance processes.
• Ensure the business group needs are being met and that assignments are delivered on time by participating in project/planning meetings and communicating regularly with IT management and IT and business teams.
• Works directly with supervisor or other senior IT staff members. Work cohesively with other Information Technology resources, business analysts, consultants and business representatives during implementations and projects.
• Active member of the global application team working to meet or exceed IT metrics of providing high level of customer satisfaction.
• Stays on top of current and new SAP technologies.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• SAP SD/TP configuration experience in the following areas:
o Sales document types, item categories, contract pricing, list pricing and schedule line categories, shipment cost documents
o Text, Output and Partner Determination, Variant Configuration, Consignment
o Familiar with IDOC, EDI and ALE processes
o Knowledgeable of the SAP integration between the SAP modules SD/PP/MM/CO
o Familiar with pricing, billing, freight costing, invoicing processes
o ATP
• 6 to 8 years of relevant IT Experience.
• 5 or more years of SAP SD/TP configuration experience.
• Experience with multi-national companies, utilizing multiple currencies.
• 8 or more years of Programming and/or system implementation experience.
• Excellent communication skills required. Must be fluent in English, other language capabilities are desirable.
• Understanding of the following functions/integration points:
o Finance – Accts Receivable/ Accts Payable
o Supply Chain
o Manufacturing – Produce to Deliver
• SAP Certification in SD or TP desired.
• Able to travel, with little notice at times, dependent on work assignments and business needs.
• CRM, BI experience and/or ABAP programming skills are a plus.
• College degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
