Business Analyst (Mid-Level)

Requirements

Our client located in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a mid-level Business Analyst (contract to hire). Essential Functions: Manage assigned IT tasks associated with the project or assignment. This includes the timely and accurate generation of status reports, prioritized task lists, etc. Strive to deliver assignments ‘on time’, ‘as expected’. Conduct or facilitate IT project/product meetings, conference calls, kickoff meetings, JAD sessions, etc and publish meeting minutes, as appropriate. Effectively communicate to all project stakeholders on a regular basis. Analyze, define & document detailed specs for new & existing applications in compliance with IT Project Methodology. Validate current applications with upcoming business needs and provide recommendations for approach or continuous improvement. Coordinate development, and test, implement and install new applications and processes. Update work instructions as appropriate with each software release (WIKI if available). Produce effective training materials for IT solution & train appropriate team(s), including IT Help Desk. Effectively identify and escalate issues as appropriate. Serve as second or third level resource on support calls, as required. Serve as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the assigned IT application(s). Must be able to travel as required. Non-Essential Functions: Application Development. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Transportation/Logistics desired. Experience with Client Server Applications is a plus. 1+ years experience with Logistics applications (ex. Transportation, Warehousing, Crossdock, Sequencing, etc) desired. Knowledge of MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, etc. Required Competencies: Positive & professional attitude Must be able to present product or technical information in formal & informal situations to superiors, peers or subordinates, customers, etc Self-motivated Interface effectively with customers or others associated with the project or assignment. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate successful problem solving skills. Ability to successfully multi-task and establish appropriate priorities. Ability to effectively participate as a team leader or team player. Possess excellent follow-up skills. This mid-level position will serve as the product owner for the YMS. Client is looking for someone that can jump in and learn this product. Will support and implement the YMS system for various customers.
