Business Applications Specialist – SAP/Finance
Requirements
Our client located in Jacksonville, FL has an immediate contract to hire opportunity for a Business Applications Specialist – SAP/Finance
The Business Application Specialist will work in a team environment to support a newly implemented SAP ECC 6.0 global solution. In addition this position will work in a team environment to recommend and deliver technology to enable business processes within the finance process area – Record to Report. Provides analysis, design, programming and implementation for financial business applications per user/business requirements using SAP and other Application tools.
Key Customers are the global members of the client’s financial organization who use information technology to help measure and report elements of the financial scorecard for management and statutory business purposes.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide support and assistance for recently deployed SAP ECC 6.0 environment for all locations. Focus areas include; G/L, A/R, A/P, Costing, VAT, COPA, Fixed Assets, Internal Orders, Month End Close process, and BPC. Ensure consistent use of the global solution.
2. Active member of the global application team working to meet or exceed IT metrics of providing high level of customer satisfaction.
3. Participation in the overall process improvement of the global Record to Report process. Analyze complex user information flows and needs. Create functional specs and perform configuration, acceptance testing, problem resolution, and provide training to the user community.
4. Evaluate alternative procedural and systematic solutions that meet needs while maintaining business standards. Works with managers and/or end-users to identify business requirements for automation that improves productivity, reduces costs, better serves customers, and/or increases revenues
5. Assess data quality; develop and execute improvement plans and KPIs to measure quality; develop and implement processes to create and maintain master data; implement data stewardship and governance processes.
6. Ensure the business group needs are being met and that assignments are delivered on time by participating in project/planning meetings and communicating regularly with IT management and IT and business teams.
7. Works directly with supervisor or other senior IT staff members. Work cohesively with other Information Technology resources, business analysts, consultants and business representatives during implementations and projects.
8. Stays on top of current and new SAP technologies and provides IT support to those business segments that use its FI/CO/BPC modules.
9. Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications:
1. College degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
2. 4 to 5 years of relevant IT Experience.
3. 3 or more years of SAP FI/CO/BPC configuration experience.
4. Understanding and experience with SOX requirements.
5. Experience with multi-national companies, utilizing multiple currencies.
6. 4 or more years of Programming and/or system implementation experience.
7. Excellent communication skills required. Must be fluent in English, other language capabilities are desirable.
8. Basic understanding of the following functions:
• Sales / Marketing
• Logistics
• Manufacturing
9. SAP Certification in one or more financial areas.
10. BI experience and/or ABAP programming skills are a plus.
This position may require national/international travel (average less than 25%) with little notice.
