Business Technology Analyst
Requirements
Our client located in Jacksonville, FL has an immediate contract to hire opportunity for a Business Technology Analyst.
Under general direction, formulate/define project scope and objectives. Work closely with clients to identify business needs and the costs and benefits of implementing a computing solution. Coordinate business and IT cross-functional teams to develop business requirements using modeling techniques and tools. Ability to work in a dynamic team environment, building and maintaining working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. Devise and document a general system design based on the client's anticipated requirements. Develop business process and technology solutions to solve complex business problems. Experience producing professional quality work products such as process flows, use cases, screen mockups, business requirements and functional/system specifications. Solid documentation skills.
Facilitate the creation of documented business requirements. Knowledge and practical experience applying Rational Unified Process in SDLC. Must occasionally champion or lead the effort to do so. Help in the creation of achievable project scope by facilitating communication between business and technology management. Assist projects in efforts to understand, manage, and communicate organizational impacts posed by projects. Assist in the creation and management of project plans. Have responsibility for the successful delivery of small-scale technology projects. May create and/or assist in training for internal users within the company.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
3 - 5 years business analysis and project management experience. Able to conceptualize and think creatively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Persuasive, patient manner and team leadership capabilities. Previous experience using the Rational Unified Process methodology for software design required. Must possess skill sets and demonstrate proven experience developing, improving and streamlining processes to meet established goals and objectives. Requires the ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or information systems, or equivalent experience.
